Bio
Hiya.

My name is Dee Bellwether. I also go by "Rose Fish," a name I picked up when a bunch of radical faeries pointed and laughed at me. F**king faeries. ;)

This journal was originally conceived to write about my Norse spiritual practices, and will perhaps continue to be a platform for this, though I'm becoming more and more private about these things.

I am Trothed (devoted for life) to the house of Ran and Aegir, Nordic Etin Deities of the Sea. I work most closely with their daughters, "The Nine Waves," who are essentially, like their mother, Undines, which english speakers might compare to the more commonly understood meme of "Sirens."

Basically, they are bestial mermaids of sorts. The kinds that seduce men into the ocean off of their ships to rip them limb from limb for a tasty snack, though if worshiped and appeased, may well lead you to treasure or safety in a storm.

Or not. You taste so very good, and your screams are delicious too.

Etins are essentially violent and primal forces of nature, and I am a human with blood descended from these Sea Etins, who seem to mostly be female from what I can tell. The Nine are said to love one another like no other, and keep their secrets in the deeps, rarely sharing with surface dwellers. I, for my part, am partly such a creature, and at times cannot bring myself to understand why the sky is so bright, and why I can't just swim across the street to get to the other side. Huh, funny that....

I also have bits of dark elf and dark fae brood in me, and qualify as one of these "otherkin" persons you may here a lot about. I am a classical shaman, and crazy, powerful and difficult magick and mythology are for me, a daily reality to deal with much as other chores and jobs, not simply a series of stories to speculate on.

I have also begun a deep and intense relation with the Norse Goddess of Death, Hela, and am expected to become a Skald (something like a shamanic bard,) and learn to play music, and sing the old (and new) songs for people. Now if I could just get a working bass amp...

On a more mundane track, I am an intersexed trans-woman, lesbian identified, pomosexual (post-modern sexual conceptions,) and enjoy writing on and contemplating these subjects. I've studied as a Tantrika to Kali Ma, and practice sex magicks of various sorts, and am a bit of a sexual healer. Yet another subject you may find me writing on, where all these things intersect

Oh, yeah, mundane. I do that, right?

I'm the Matriarch of a fledgling queer polyamourous family, the Bellwethers, and am just beginning my career as a haus frau, the high lady of a hall (my house.) We've been under our roof since the beginning of January 2009 (this is SO going to be the best year ever,) and are creating our infrastructure to run this as a communal home where queers, shamans and witches, anarchists, gardeners, builders, philosophers and psychonauts may find refuge, friendship and community.

Our house is simply entitled "haus Bellwether."

I SWEAR there is something mundane going on in here, because I spend so much of my time contemplating paying the bills, going back to school, getting relationships to work (it IS my job to keep the lovebirds together,) mentoring my "kids" on life (the younger shamans,) exercising, cleaning the grounds, shopping for food, toking up, and creating the infrastructure for our house meetings.

Our Temple, fledgling as it is, is called "The Temple of the Orchard," and is a Chaotic Gnostic Pagan Order, that takes its name from the idea of "The Tree," whatever cultural framing of it you take too. This includes the Norse "World Tree," Yggdrassil," the Tree in the Garden of Eden Myth, and well, we just really dig trees. Trees are psychedelic, man. We have some lovely ones in our yard, including a lovely giant pine that watches over us, and a delightful holly tree that houses our wealth magicks.

I drive a cute little sky blue geo prism named "Bluebell." My wife, now going by Maeghann, is an Freya's woman, a silly eccentric, and an f2m2f who just delightfully challenges my conception of everything and makes me oatmeal in the morning.

I refuse to waste my life hating anything, and I love you, whether you like it or not.

So there.
